Like father, like son… Or so they say.

The author is a customer service associate working in a BPO (Business Process Outsourcing) center in Metro Manila, Philippines for the past decade. He has done much work as a freelance writer and events host, and remains a steadfast supporter of the arts and culture movement in his native province of Pampanga, as a founding member of freelance artistic group Uyat Artista based in Angeles City. In his high school years, he joined and gained recognition in multiple English essay writing and speech competitions at Don Bosco Academy-Pampanga in Mabalacat City, as an active member of the English Club. While there, he also won Writer of the Year honors in his senior year (2001) after completing an unprecedented two consecutive terms as Editor-in-Chief of the school paper Siuala*, beginning his junior year. Though a casual athlete at best, he seriously follows basketball (NBA and PBA in particular), pocket billiards and golf (especially the PGA Tours) with gusto, while having working knowledge of many other sports as well. He is also a fan of comic book heroes Iron Man and Psylocke (Marvel), and Batman and Green Lantern (DC), and has confessed to being a longtime James Bond aficionado (mentioning Sean Connery and Daniel Craig as his favorite Bond actors) and professional wrestling fan (especially WWE, with Stone Cold Steve Austin and Bret “The Hitman” Hart topping his favorite superstars list).

Canon currently resides with his wife Bianca Marie and son Brandon Austin also within the Metro Manila area. You may follow him on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
